Some will take statistical data, and to make sense of it present the following theories:

Crime as a result of gender,
Crime as a result of genetics,
Crime as a result of other biological (e.g. PMS)
Crime as result of social class,
Crime as a result of race/ethnicity,
Crime as a result of economic wealth,
Crime as a result of family structure,
Crime as a mental disorder (for a "kick")
Crime as a matter of individual responsibility and subculture.

See how numerous they are.

Just because one of these theories says (for example) "If you are black you are more likely to be a criminal, supported by this data which shows that 55% of inmates are black" - is bollocks. It CLEARLY cannot be down to skin colour ALONE.

INTERPRETATIONS ARE OPEN TO BIAS - AND CAN BE USED TO SATISFY A PREJUDICE.
