Donno about the barren part. Longshank's grandson, Edward III, had five sons (Edward—the Black Prince, Lionel of Antwerp, Duke of Clarence, John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster, Edmund of Langley, Duke of York and Thomas of Woodstock, Duke of Gloucester) and four daughters (Isabella, Joan, Mary and Margaret).

The Yorks and the Lancasters started the Wars of the Roses, so the Plantagenets would probably have been better off if they were a bit more barren.

If it's history you want, you'll have to watch a documentary. I don't think documentaries do too well at the cinema.

Not true. Films such as the Longest Day, A Bridge Too Far and Laurence of Arabia did exceptionally well as movies - all historically accurate.

Haven't heard of those except Lawrence of Arabia. It's one that I should view though. Isn't that an Oscar winner?

Black Hawk Down is suppose to be detailed accurate.... at least that's what I saw from interviews given by officers that were there when all that happened.
