Once I came off, it took 4 weeks for me to get my period. Now after the birth of my son, I am back on Cerazette. It's nice that this pill can be taken while breastfeeding. I had an initial bleed once I started back on but have not had a period since then. (I started back on Cerazette about 5 months ago) I really enjoy not having my periods and no PMS!! For me, it was and still is a great pill!
BANG ON...Obviously certain pills aren't right for certain people..cerazette's main reasoning is because it does tend to stop bleeding almost 100%. Some women find this worrying and would rather have a period each month, whereas I personally see it as a godsend and am eternally grateful for any such hormone that can stop periods and period pains in a controlled and safe manner.
So for those that do not have periods on this pill, stop worrying and start enjoying! There are always pregnancy tests if you ever want to check up I have been on this pill for over a year and all I've ever seen is positive!
Although it does tend to increase your weight, it isn't the actual pill that does this, but the increase in appetite. So don't blame the pill, control your diet. By far the best pill out there.

I had my period during the first few months but then they became irregular and then stopped coming except for a bit of smearing now and then. Other than that I have had no side effects and found it a great form of contraceptive with the added benefit of no PMS and messy periods (I was a heavy bleeder). Now I am planning on having another baby (my fourth) and have been off Cerezette for 3 weeks with no sign of my period. Has anyone else used this pill over a longer period of time before trying to get pregnant? How long did it take for the body to get back to normal?
Here's an update on my situation. I did get my period about 4 weeks after coming off Cerezette. I was so glad for the "sign" that my body was getting back to normal so quickly. Now I've just done an early home pregnancy test (it's been 4 weeks since that first period) and it's positive!!

So I can only sum it up by saying that my experience with Cerezette has been positive. I enjoyed having no periods for the 4 years I took it. My body got back to normal quite quickly after stopping it and now within my first "normal" cycle I've gotten pregnant.

That's really nice to read an update!I hope it all went well and you are no bust with a lil toddler!
I'm on this pill and it's like one long PMT with spotting, periods lasting over 7 days, was about 3 days before. But I used to have the wonderful coil, then I had to have my cervix half cut off due to pre cancerous cells, so am having to choose now, lose boyfriend because he can't get used to condoms, or lose boyfriend because I'm so miserable and moody, bleeding, painfull boobs, weight gain. Sob etc. Still nice to read someone positive on here!
