Exploration of The Asteroids Galaxy Tour

It’s not often you hear a band and find it impossible to compare them to someone else, granted there are a lot of new bands emerging at the moment, but most of them sound like a clone of everyone else, however The Asteroids Galaxy Tour really are one of a kind.

I caught up with lead singer Mette Lindberg to find out more about this phenomenal new band, and with their debut album out early next year; 2009 looks set to be the year of The Asteroids!

What have you been up to this week?

Well my boyfriend just moved in with me so I’m painting and getting rid of all my old stuff that is taking up space; it’s a very good feeling!

Is it hard deciding what to keep and what to throw away? I can never throw anything away!

No usually I can’t because I’m a collector and I have loads of boxes and small things all over the place from when I was younger and it’s just like a museum in my house but it’s really nice and people love coming to my home because it’s very colourful, but now I’m getting rid of some of it!

For anyone who hasn’t heard of you before, how would you describe your sound?

Well actually it’s tough to answer that because I think it’s a mix of a lot of things; it has some Soul elements like The Horns and there is feeling in the music but at the same time it has some Funk and the Vocals are Rock or Pop so I think it’s got a lot of different things so it’s hard to say.
