50 Cent gets his own day

50 Cent is to be honoured with his own day in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where he filmed new movie Righteous Kill.

The hitmaker/actor, who calls the state home, insists the 12 October Curtis Jackson Day honour could not come at a better time.

He explains, "October 13th is my son's birthday." 50 plans to take his latest honour seriously - he'll be spending the day in Bridgeport.

He adds, "I'll hang out at the nightclubs and enjoy myself."
