English Boxer Khan Charged Over Car Smash.

English boxing sensation AMIR KHAN was charged with dangerous driving after allegedly hitting a man with his car yesterday (27JUN06).

Lightweight Khan, 19, was placed on bail by a Bolton, Lancashire court during his brief appearance.

Khan could face a possible jail sentence if he is found guilty of wreckless driving prior to the collision on a pedestrian crossing in Bolton in March (06).

A 40-year-old man was left with a broken leg following the crash.

A police spokesperson confirms, "Amir Khan has been charged with dangerous driving in relation to an incident in which a car was in collision with a pedestrian."
