Babyshambles' festival no show

Babyshambles' planned appearance at a festival was cancelled last weekend (05.07.08) after the band failed to turn up.

The Pete Doherty-fronted outfit were due to play the Werchter Festival in Belgium but reportedly didn't turn up, giving no explanation to their whereabouts.

Air Traffic were forced to fill in, performing their second set of the day between Slayer and Jay-Z's performances.

The no-show came less than a week after the band cancelled a Norwegian festival show at the last minute and Pete performed solo at the Glastonbury festival, prompting speculation that the group are about to split.

Meanwhile, a postcard created by the frontman in his own blood is to be raffled for charity.

Several celebrities who reside in Wiltshire were asked to decorate cards for the We Love Marlborough initiative and are currently being displayed in a gallery in the town.

The cards will then be raffled with tickets costing £5 each and money raised being donated to a range of charities.
