Christina Applegate's ex-husband Johnathan Schaech has spoken out about his ex-wife's brave cancer battle.
The Anchorman star recently underwent a double mastectomy, in her bid to beat the disease.
She has been given the all-clear after undergoing the operation, and has even returned to work on her hit sitcom Samantha Who?
And Schaech, who divorced the actress in 2005, insists he is proud of his ex. He tells Usmagazine.com, "She is doing well. How wonderful it is that, because of what happened to her, people are becoming more aware.
"She is stepping out. She was on Oprah. She is making an effort to make everyone aware of everything that she learned from this - how to prevent and save lives.
"She is not a superhero - nobody is - but she is beating this."
