Christina Applegate Treats Herself to Beach House

One good thing came out of actress Christina Applegate's breast cancer battle - she treated herself to the beach house she has always dreamed of.

The Anchorman star underwent a double mastectomy in July (08) but had one thing to look forward to when the medical crisis was over - a new home at the beach.

She says, "I started looking for a beach house the day I found out I had this disease.

"You just kind of go, 'What are you waiting for to get the things that you want and the things that you dream of?'" Applegate spent three weeks recuperating, post-surgery, at her new beach abode and now spends the weekends at her dream home.
