DMX in court after illness

DMX has appeared in court in Arizona on theft charges after he missed a previous appearance due to illness.

The star was hospitalised in Florida last week for symptoms reportedly associated with a stroke.

His hospital stay forced him to miss a hearing in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday - where he was set to appear on charges of theft - leading the judge overseeing the case to issue a bench warrant for his arrest.

But the rapper was back in court on Monday for a brief hearing, during which the judge ordered him to appear for a status conference on 7 October.

DMX also faces several animal cruelty, traffic violation and drug possession counts in the state.
